Moira has been a producer, production manager and technical director of live events for large corporations for more than 20 years.
Moira studied languages at Royal Holloway College, University of London. After graduating she won a scholarship to study German and Drama at the University of Salzburg, in Austria. She worked in the theatre for 10 years She worked in Repertory in Edinburgh and Bristol, for both The National Theatre and The Royal Shakespeare Company and toured the UK and abroad. This background has contributed to her detailed technical knowledge, creativity, team leadership and strong inter-personal skills.
In the mid-1980s Moira moved into the Conference, Trade Show, Exhibition and Live Event industry and has worked as a Producer, Technical director, Production and Project manager for many of the UK’s leading Events Companies- including: MMA , Hamilton Perry, HP:ICM, Spectrum, Live, MJM, Park Avenue, Aspect, Clearwater, PCI ( Live/ Design & Fitch) and The Bank.
Moira speaks German fluently and also has good French; so much of her work has been in Europe. She has had to brief, plan and assemble European Production teams and liaise with European facilities and technical construction companies on many large scale projects such as “Sapphire” for SAP, and also on Exhibitions for Hewlett Packard and BMW. She has also performed this role in Europe for many international companies such as Invision, MJM Creative, JMW and Watt Silverstein and for German companies such as Atelier Markgraph and Citigate SEA.
As well as producing and production managing corporate conferences and road shows, her portfolio includes casting and directing live action, show calling, directing multilingual voiceovers, videos, and several outdoor and media events.
Moira has just finished working as Executive Producer on a three day Launch Event for The ASPIRE academy in Doha, Qatar, where she produced an Olympic style Opening Ceremony in the Athletics Stadium with a cast and crew of 1,500. for the Royal Family and the Chairman of the IOC.
